What is BeaverTV and what do I need to use it?
BeaverTV is Worldline's television service. Instead of a cable box, it's a streaming app that runs over your Worldline internet connection — you watch on the devices you already own. The base package, TV Basics, is $25/month, and new TV subscriptions currently get the first 3 months at 50% off.
What you need
- A Worldline internet plan. BeaverTV is available only with Worldline internet — it's delivered through your connection, so it can't be purchased on its own. Any current Worldline internet plan supports it. As a rule of thumb, a 30 Mbps plan comfortably runs about three HD TVs at once — budget roughly 5–10 Mbps per HD stream, or 15–25 Mbps per 4K stream, for each TV playing at the same time.
- A compatible streaming device: Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, or an Android/iOS phone or tablet. A streaming device is not included with the service — most customers already have one, and inexpensive options are widely available.
What's included
Every BeaverTV subscription starts with the TV Basics package — local TV, news, and entertainment channels for your region.
All plans include:
- PVR recording — 50 hours (3,000 minutes) of storage, with series recording
- Go-Back — watch shows from previous days
- Timeshift — pause, rewind, and fast-forward live TV
- Up to 4 devices streaming at once, all on the same login, at no extra charge
- Self-serve channel management through your My Account portal
Want more channels?
You can add on top of TV Basics:
- Sports Pack — includes both Sportsnet and TSN channels
- Crave & HBO — movies and premium originals
- Pick My Own — choose your own channels in 5, 10, or 15-channel bundles
