What happens if I miss a payment? (Late payments and suspended service)
Life happens — here's exactly what to expect if a bill goes unpaid, and how to get back online.
The timeline
- No late fees. Worldline doesn't charge late-payment fees.
- Reminders first. You'll receive payment reminders by email, and accounts with an overdue balance also get automated text and phone reminders.
- Around 60 days overdue: service is suspended. You'll receive advance notices before this happens, including a final notice about 24 hours before suspension.
- Around 75 days overdue: the account is cancelled. Seriously overdue accounts may be referred to a collections agency.
How to restore a suspended service
- Pay the full outstanding balance. Only a zero balance restores service automatically — a partial payment brings the balance down but doesn't turn service back on.
- Pay 24/7 in the portal at https://www.worldline.ca/myaccount/login or by calling 1-855-299-0025 (our automated assistant takes payments any time).
- Once the balance is cleared, reactivation is automatic — usually within the hour, though it can take up to 24 hours.
- If your internet isn't back after that, unplug your modem for about a minute and plug it back in so it re-syncs with your account.
Can't pay the full amount right now?
You don't have to lose service over a rough month. Worldline offers payment arrangements — see "Can I get more time to pay, or a payment plan?" With an arrangement in place, the team may also be able to restore a suspended service before the balance is fully cleared — call 1-855-299-0025 to set one up.
Paid at your bank and still suspended?
Online-banking payments take 1–3 business days to reach us. If you need service back sooner, call us with your bank's payment confirmation number so the team can verify the payment.
