What is the cancellation policy, and how do I cancel?

The short version

  • No long-term contracts — you can cancel at any time.
  • You pick the cancellation date. Whatever date you request is the date we use.
  • Rented equipment must be returned within 60 days of your cancellation date to avoid an unreturned-equipment charge per item. We email you a free prepaid return label.

How to cancel

  1. Call 1-855-299-0025 (Mon–Sat 9 am–6 pm Eastern, closed Sunday). Cancellation can't be done through the customer portal.
  2. Have your account number handy — we'll verify your identity first.
  3. Tell us whether you're cancelling everything or just one service (for example, keeping home phone but dropping internet — that's fine).
  4. Choose your cancellation date.
  5. We'll email you a prepaid return label for any rented equipment. Send back the modem, its original power supply, and all cables within 60 days.

You'll get a confirmation once the cancellation is processed, and any refund owing is issued after the equipment return is confirmed — see "How do refunds and credits work?"

Cancelling because you're moving?

You may not need to cancel at all — Worldline can often move your service to the new address, or transfer the account to the person moving in. See "I'm moving — can I take my Worldline service with me?"

Cancelling an account for someone who has passed away

We're sorry for your loss, and we keep this simple:

  1. Call us, or email billing@worldline.ca, and let us know your name and relationship to the account holder.
  2. A copy of the death certificate is required to finalize the closure — it can be emailed to billing@worldline.ca.
  3. Once received, the cancellation is processed with no fees of any kind.
