# How do the Call Canada and Call the World plans work?

Call Canada and Call the World are Worldline's long-distance calling plans. They work with the phone you already have — **your home phone or your cell phone** — so there's no need to switch phone companies. Activation is instant once you sign up, there are no contracts, and each plan is a flat monthly rate — **Call Canada is $5.95/month and Call the World is $16.95/month** (current pricing at https://www.worldline.ca/services/unlimited-long-distance/).

## How calling works (two easy steps)

These are "two-stage" plans — instead of dialing your long-distance number directly, you:

1. **Dial a Worldline local access number.** The full list is at https://worldline.ca/support/long-distance-access-phone-numbers.
2. **When prompted, enter the number you want to call.** Your call connects through Worldline instead of your phone company's long-distance service.

**You do need to sign up first** — the service recognizes the phone number you register with us, so calls placed before signup won't go through on the plan.

## Using it from your home phone

Choose an access number that is a **local call from your home number**, and don't dial "1" before it — dialing long-distance to reach the access number can trigger charges from your phone company.

## Using it from your cell phone

Choose an access number **local to where you physically are**. If you travel outside your usual area, check the access number list for the area you're visiting.

## What's included

- **Call Canada:** unlimited calling across Canada (excludes Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut).
- **Call the World:** unlimited calling to over 50 countries — landlines plus some mobile destinations. The plan is registered to one home phone or mobile number.

## Fair use and limitations

- These plans are for **residential use only**.
- Fair-use limit of **2,000 minutes per month**; if you reach it, calling resumes the next calendar month.
- Some high-cost destinations and countries outside the Call the World list are blocked. You can check whether a specific destination is covered at https://www.worldline.ca/support/long-distance-rates/.
