Setting up the Linksys PAP2T can be done in by following the steps below:  
  
*   Connect your phone to the green Phone 1 port of the PAP2T using a phone cable.
  
  
*   Connect your modem/router to the blue Internet port of the PAP2T using a LAN/Ethernet cable.
  
  
*   Plug in the PAP2T to the power using the provided AC adapter.
  
  
*   When Power, Ethernet, and Phone 1 lights on the PAP2T are on, your phone is now ready to use.

If you are using a modem that has both LAN/Ethernet and WAN/Internet ports, the PAP2T should be connected to the LAN/Ethernet port of the modem and not the WAN/Internet port.
